I graduated from University of Colorado School of Dentistry in 1990. I have always had a passion for children-one constant specific area of interest has been children that are in the system due to child abuse and neglect-while in hygiene school a classmate and I presented a table clinic on “Child Abuse and Neglect Detection and Reporting in Dentistry”.

In 2002 I became a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer in Adams and Broomfield Counties and was an advocate for children until the birth of my daughter in 2009. I have stayed connected with CASA primarily through volunteering at fundraising events. In September 2015 I went through the CASA volunteer training again and am currently a CASA volunteer in Adams and Broomfield Counties. The children involved in court cases in Adams and Broomfield counties will be one of the many high risk populations of children I will target moving forward.

I have been involved with CDPHE Cavity Free at Three program since 2012, providing services to high risk children in Adams and Boulder Counties. I am also a master trainer for Cavity Free at Three.

I am very excited to pursue this new innovative journey that I have an immense passion for moving forward in my professional life, and look forward to making a difference in a child’s life through access to care.
